HOW IT WORKS

The Holiday Gift Trail is completely self-guided.

You choose your itinerary and decide how many stops to visit throughout the day or weekend. Please note:

  • Farms will not be conducting tours during this event.

  • The nearest distance between locations may range from 3–15 miles.

  • Some locations may be cash only or have alternative hours — review site information carefully.

WHY IT MATTERS

The Holiday Gift Trail is about more than shopping —

It’s about sustaining local agriculture during the winter season and supporting the small farms and makers that define Capay Valley.

When you shop directly from farmers and artisans, you strengthen the rural economy, preserve farmland, and keep dollars circulating within the community.

Shop with intention. Celebrate the season. Bring the Valley home.

Tips for the Trail

The trail happens rain or shine.
Plan accordingly!

Before you go:

  • Check the weather and dress appropriately.

  • Print your map or take screenshots — cell service can be unreliable in rural areas.

  • Some driveways and turnoffs along Highway 16 can come up quickly — drive slowly and stay alert.

  • Bring cash for cash-only locations.

  • Bring a water bottle and a cooler or basket for purchases.

  • Please carry out what you bring in.

  • Keep children supervised at all times.

  • Drive slowly, especially on dirt roads.

  • No smoking or vaping.

  • Leave pets at home (service animals excepted).
