Polestar Farm

Rooted in renewal of land, community, and purpose.

SEE WHAT MAKES POLESTAR FARM SO SPECIAL

Polestar Farm feels like both a beginning and a gathering place.

A backyard with a swimming pool surrounded by flowering bushes, wooden pergolas with string lights, and a view of a vineyard under a blue sky with scattered clouds.

After more than 30 years in Davis, Jim and Karina followed a new compass point in 2018 — planting roots in Esparto and transforming 12 acres into a certified organic orchard and vibrant community space. What started as a leap into farming has blossomed into a place where fruit ripens alongside friendships, and celebrations unfold beneath open valley skies.

At the edge of Capay Valley, their roadside farm stand welcomes visitors with fresh-picked fruit, dried seasonal goods, and small-batch products that reflect the rhythm of the land. Polestar is more than a farm — it’s an invitation to slow down, gather, and savor.

MORE ABOUT POLESTAR FARM

Home to 750 Royal Blenheim apricot trees -

A woman and a man standing outdoors at a farm, smiling, with a sign that says "Polestar Farm" in front of them. The woman is wearing sunglasses and a yellow jacket, while the man is wearing a hat and sunglasses. There are green trees and grass in the background.

Along with Elegant Lady peaches, Santa Rosa plums, Eureka lemons, grapefruit, and newly planted fruit varieties continuing to take root.

Family-owned and thoughtfully tended, the property has been shaped into a place of beauty, healing, and celebration. The farm also houses a working print shop operated by Odd Petals, adding an unexpected layer of artistry to this agricultural landscape.

COMMITMENT TO COMMUNITY

Polestar Farm is deeply rooted in mentorship and connection.

Their seasonal farm dinners spotlight emerging local chefs — including students from the Esparto High School Culinary Program — offering young culinary talent the opportunity to cook with locally grown ingredients and share their craft with the community.

Through dinners, concerts, workshops, and weddings, Polestar creates space for people to gather in meaningful ways.
