CAPAY VALLEY GROWN EVENTS
Open Farm Day
A DAY ON THE FARM, CELEBRATING THE PEOPLE WHO GROW OUR FOOD
Open Farm Day is an annual Capay Valley tradition that invites visitors of all ages to step onto working farms and experience agriculture from the ground up.
October 4, 2026
Hosted at multiple farm locations throughout the Capay Calley
Open Farm Day brings farmers and visitors together for a day of exploration, learning, and celebration. This hands-on event is perfect for families, food lovers, agricultural learners, and anyone curious about where their food comes from.
On October 4, 2026, farms across the valley will open their gates to guests looking to connect with the land, meet growers, and discover the people and practices that make Capay Valley agriculture thrive. This event is hosted in partnership with the Hoes Down Harvest Festival on October 3, 2026.
*Tickets not required to attent Open Farm Day, but an RSVP is appreciated!
ABOUT OPEN FARM DAY
Open Farm Day is a collaborative celebration of the farms and farmers who make Capay Valley unique.
Unlike a single-venue festival, this event invites you into the fields, orchards, and barns of real working farms — giving you a firsthand look at growing practices, seasonal rhythms, and the people behind your food.
Each participating farm offers something special. You might find:
Orchard tours and crop demonstrations
Farm animals and kid-friendly activities
Hands-on workshops and tastings
Farmer Q&A sessions and interactive learning
Farmstands stocked with fresh produce and local products
It’s an event designed to deepen understanding, inspire curiosity, and spark meaningful connections between visitors and the agricultural community.
